Diet Control Apps
Modern diet control apps tend to be vague and pricey, offering one-size-fits-all solutions. They overlook individualized guidance, making it challenging for users to address their unique dietary needs effectively.
Nutritionists and Dieticians
Labeling nutritionists and dietitians as overrated due to their cost overlooks the value of their expertise. While their services can be expensive, they offer personalized guidance, promote long-term health, and help prevent costly medical bills. Access to affordable nutrition education remains a challenge, highlighting a need for more accessible resources.

Food delivery services
Food delivery services often offer limited control over ingredients, unhealthy options, potential for overeating, hidden additives, high costs, limited variety, scheduling challenges, and may discourage cooking at home for healthier, balanced meals.
Limited control
Unhealthy options
Peer pressure
Overeating
Community Support
Community support, while beneficial in many ways, may not always be feasible for maintaining a healthy balanced diet because people have diverse dietary needs and preferences. A one-size-fits-all approach in a community setting may not address individual requirements.
Lack of expertise
One-size fits all
Peer pressure
Inconsistent information
Limited accountability

Research Process
Research
Conduct Stakeholder Interviews: Learn about the objectives, expectations, and needs of key stakeholders, including hospital administrators, the marketing team, and the medical staff.
User Research: To fully comprehend the target audience, their needs, pain spots, and preferences, do user interviews, surveys, and usability testing.
Competitive Analysis: Analyse competing websites to spot industry best practises, acquire inspiration, and develop knowledge of effective design components.
Define
Create User Personas: Develop fictional representations of the target users based on research findings to guide design decisions and ensure user-centered design.
Define User Goals: Identify the primary goals and tasks users are looking to accomplish on the Fortis Hospital website.
Establish Design Objectives: Based on the determined user goals and stakeholder needs, establish precise design objectives.
Ideation
Information Architecture: Create a site map and define the overall structure and hierarchy of the website's content to ensure easy navigation and findability.
Wireframing: Sketch or create low-fidelity wireframes to visualize the layout, content placement, and interactions of key pages and sections.
Interaction Design: Develop interactive prototypes or mockups to demonstrate the user flow and functionality of the redesigned website.
Design
Visual Design: Apply the new color palette, typography, and visual elements to the wireframes or interactive prototypes, creating high-fidelity designs that align with the Fortis Hospital brand..
Responsive Design: Ensure the website design is responsive and adaptable to different screen sizes, devices, and orientations.
Accessibility Considerations: Include best practises for accessibility, like providing alternative text for images, utilising appropriate header structures, and guaranteeing keyboard support.
Prototype
Define Prototype Goals: Identify the specific objectives and goals for creating the prototype, such as testing specific features, validating user flows, or gathering feedback on the overall user experience.
Plan Prototype Scope: Determine the scope of the prototype, including the number of screens or interactions to be included and the level of fidelity (low, medium, or high) for each component.
Gather Requirements and User Insights: Review stakeholder requirements and user research findings to ensure the prototype aligns with user needs and business goals.
Testing
Usability Testing: Conduct usability tests with representative users to identify any usability issues or areas of improvement in the redesigned website.
Bug Testing: Thoroughly test the website for bugs, errors, and cross-browser compatibility to ensure a smooth and error-free user experience.
Performance Testing: Optimize the website's performance by testing its loading speed and responsiveness under different network conditions.

Behavioral Pattern
During the design process of the app, several interviews were conducted to gather feedback from the users regarding their experience with the current website. The interviewees displayed certain behavioral patterns while discussing their experiences with the current
diet control apps.
After Identifying the behavioral patterns, I mapped the variables with the user, segregated them based on their behavioral patterns into 3 main categories.
Primary Users
Primary users of a diet planning app typically have specific health and fitness goals, such as weight loss, muscle gain, or managing medical conditions like diabetes or hypertension. They use the app to create and follow personalized diet plans tailored to their objectives.
Primary users tend to engage with the app on a regular basis, often tracking their daily food intake, exercise routines, and progress toward their goals. They are proactive in recording data and monitoring their nutritional intake.
Secondary Users
Secondary users often include caregivers, family members, or friends who support primary users in their diet and nutrition journey. They may use the app to monitor the progress of the primary user, prepare meals, or order ingredients.
Secondary users' engagement with the app may be intermittent and goal-dependent. They use the app when assisting the primary user but might not maintain their own profiles.
Negative Users
Negative users might initially download the app but use it infrequently. They may struggle with the app's complexity, find it overwhelming, or lose interest quickly.
Negative users may have high expectations but feel that the app does not meet their needs. They could be dissatisfied with the quality of recipes, the variety of dietary options, or the app's user interface.Unhappy users are more likely to leave negative feedback and reviews, highlighting their frustrations. They may express disappointment on app store platforms and social media.
